REGRET
When the Past Feels Like a Prison

God restores what we’ve lost
—even the years.

“I will restore to you the years
that the swarming locust has eaten…”
– Joel 2:25

Your failures do not erase your future.

“Forget what is behind and
reach forward to what is ahead…
press on toward the goal.”
– Philippians 3:13–14

God works all things
—even your mistakes
—for good.

“We know that all things work together for the good
of those who love God,
who are called according to His purpose.”
– Romans 8:28

A Message for the Regretful:
There are moments when you replay it all—what you should have said, what you shouldn’t have done, the opportunity you missed, the road you didn’t take. Regret wraps itself around your memory and squeezes until all you can feel is sorrow.
Some regrets are loud and obvious. Others are quiet and slow-burning. But all of them whisper the same lie: “It’s too late now.”
But here’s the truth: God is never too late. And your story didn’t end at your mistake.
God doesn’t just forgive sin—He redeems time. He takes broken years and wasted moments and somehow, in His mercy, brings beauty out of ashes. You don’t have to rewrite the past to find peace. You just have to surrender it to the One who holds your future.
The enemy wants you paralyzed in guilt. But God invites you to walk forward in grace. What matters is not how your story started—but how His mercy carries you through the rest of it.
You’re not too far gone. You’re not too late. As long as Jesus lives, redemption is always on time.

Prayer:
God, You know the things I wish I could undo.
Help me surrender the past I can’t change
to the hands that can redeem it.
Thank You that my failure is not the end of the story.
Give me courage to walk forward with You into what’s still ahead.
Amen.
