ANXIETY

When the Pressure to Hold It All Together Is Too Much

God cares deeply about what’s weighing on you.

“Cast all your cares on Him,

because He cares about you.”

– 1 Peter 5:7

You don’t have to control everything

—He already does.

“Don’t worry about anything,

but in everything, through prayer

and petition with thanksgiving,

present your requests to God.”

– Philippians 4:6

God’s peace isn’t earned—it’s given.

“And the peace of God,

which surpasses all understanding,

will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

– Philippians 4:7

A Message for the Anxious:

You’re tired—but not from doing nothing. You’re tired because you’re carrying everything. Every detail. Every outcome. Every “what if.” The weight of control, of holding it all together, is quietly crushing.

You know God is in control, but you still feel like you can’t let go. And maybe you’re afraid that if you stop spinning the plates, they’ll all come crashing down. If you don’t perform, produce, plan—something will break.

But here’s the truth: you were never asked to carry the whole world. That job is already taken.

God isn’t looking for flawless execution—He’s looking for surrendered hearts. He wants your trust more than your performance. And He wants your burdens more than your image of strength.

Letting go doesn’t mean being careless. It means you trust the hands that hold all things together—even when you can’t.

You are not your productivity. You are not your reputation. You are not your ability to fix what’s wrong. You are a child, and your Father is strong enough to carry it all.

Prayer:

God, I can’t keep carrying this alone.

You see what’s weighing on me—help me to release it.

Quiet the chaos in my heart and teach me to breathe in Your peace.

I don’t want control—I want You.

You are my rest, my refuge, my strength.

Amen.
