"The flame never dies where truth abides."
NUMBNESS
When You Don’t Feel Anything Anymore

God can awaken what feels dead inside.

“I will give you a new heart
and put a new spirit within you;
I will remove your heart of stone
and give you a heart of flesh.”
– Ezekiel 36:26

Even when your heart is silent,
God still hears.

“The Lord is near, to those whose hearts
are crushed in spirit.”
– Psalm 34:18

Revival doesn’t begin with feeling
—it begins with turning.
“Return to Me with all your heart…
and I will return to you.”
– Joel 2:12–13

A Message for the Numb:
You’re not overwhelmed. You’re not angry. You’re not even sad. You’re just… flat. Disconnected. You show up, but you’re not sure why. You pray, but your heart feels like it’s somewhere else. And somewhere along the way, it just started to seem easier not to feel at all.
You’re not crazy. And you’re not hopeless. You’re just tired. Burned out. Numb. And believe it or not, God knows how to meet you here too.
The Bible doesn’t just speak to passion and zeal—it speaks to dry bones and stony hearts. It speaks to silence. And God doesn’t shame you for being here. He moves toward you.
You don’t have to “feel it” right now. You just need to stay near the One who does. Numbness is not death—it’s dormancy. And the Spirit knows how to bring the fire back.
Keep showing up. Keep asking. Keep whispering prayers, even if they feel hollow. He sees what’s happening in you, and He knows how to awaken what you thought was lost forever.

Prayer:
God, I feel nothing—and that scares me.
I want to care. I want to feel again.
Please soften what’s gone cold in me.
Wake my heart with Your Word.
Even if I can’t sense You, help me to stay near.
You are my life—even when I feel lifeless.
Amen.
