Founded by Justin Reed, Brushwood Press operates in partnership with and under the spiritual covering of Woodlawn Church of Paducah, a Cumberland Presbyterian Church where faith, family, and biblical fidelity are at the core of everything we do.

Justin serves as the CFO of Brushwood Press, bringing a unique blend of technological expertise and theological depth to the ministry. For the past 18 years, he has been the founder and owner of Micro-IT, a nationwide provider of IT solutions specializing in cybersecurity and support for very small businesses and organizations. Under his leadership, Micro-IT has become known for offering affordable, contract-free IT services, focusing on remote and onsite support, cybersecurity toolkits, and 24/7 monitoring to protect clients from online threats.

Beyond his professional endeavors in technology, Justin is a devoted husband to Vina Reed, proud father of seven, and joyful grandfather to six. His life has been a tapestry of hard work, redemption, and relentless passion for truth. Behind the tech expertise lies an even deeper calling—to teach, write, disciple, and create music that carries the weight of the gospel with poetic and theological depth.

As an author, songwriter, musician, and Bible teacher, Justin has spent years pouring into the next generation, helping them understand the depth of God’s grace and the consistency of the truth. His theology is rooted in the rich soil of Reformed doctrine, aligning with the Westminster Confession of Faith, and his approach balances clarity with conviction, intellect with compassion.

Brushwood Press was born out of that same conviction. What began as a platform for writing and resource development has now grown into a full-fledged ministry initiative. One of its flagship projects, Brushfires, equips churches and small groups with lessons focused on the 10 Core Doctrines, crafted to spark meaningful conversation, deeper discipleship, and a revived witness in the world.

In addition to Brushfires, Brushwood Press is actively partnering with other gospel-centered ministries such as AtheistSayTheDarndestThings.net, an apologetics-based outreach initiative, and Pastor Clay Hall’s work in the Abolish Abortion movement—amplifying the call to defend life with both courage and clarity. These partnerships reflect a growing network of convictional ministry efforts united by a shared love for the truth.
