Welcome Host
Mission Statement
Brushfires exist to cultivate a discipleship-driven community within the local church by equipping believers to engage in meaningful conversations, grow in sound doctrine, and actively bear one another’s burdens. Through a structured yet relational approach, Brushfires provide a space for intentional evangelism, theological depth, and tangible acts of love—ensuring that every person is not just welcomed but wanted.

Structure and Leadership

-
Church-Guided, Member-Facilitated: The church administration will provide curriculum, ensuring theological soundness and consistency.
-
Leadership Development: Anyone who completes basic leadership training will be equipped to facilitate a group using provided materials.
-
Group Size & Multiplication: Groups will ideally consist of 8-12 members, multiplying when they reach a sustainable threshold.
-
Meeting Locations: Groups will meet in both church facilities and members' homes for flexibility and accessibility.

Leadership Roles

The leadership structure of Brushfires follows a top-down approach to ensure accountability and proper discipleship:
-

-
Director: Appointed by the pastor to manage the overall implementation and structure of Brushfires.
-
Host: Approved by the director and pastor, responsible for facilitating the group meetings and ensuring a welcoming environment.
-
Host in Training (HIT List): Potential future hosts who actively train under an existing host by meeting with them outside of regular group meetings.
-
Discussion Leader: Leads discussions during meetings and may become a host in training after meeting with their resident host the required number of times outside of regular sessions.
